Volunteer FAQs
Q: Do I have to be a member to volunteer?
No. Last year, Club members invited friends and family to join them.
Q: Could I do more than one job?
Absolutely before and during ride day there will be multiple opportunities.
Q: What do we receive for volunteering?
Every volunteer will receive a Ramble volunteer t-shirt and the great satisfaction of helping dedicated EMS squads— not only be helping to raise money, but by letting them know how significant their personal contributions are to all of us. Volunteers working on ride day can also drop by the buffet lunch when their shift ends, or before it begins.
Q: Will I receive any training?
Probably nothing formal, but our team leaders will clearly describe the job and offer lots of encouragement. And please ask if you need more info.
Q: If I volunteer to be a ride marshall, will I have to pay to register for the ride??
Ride Marshals do not register or pay as riders. Ride Marshals select the ride they would like to assist with and sign up on the Volunteer Web Site.
Q: Why are we doing this computer sign-up stuff?
In the hopes that it will make scheduling a lot easier on everybody. This is our first crack at it, however, so if you experience problems or have a suggestion, please let us know. E-mail ramblevolunteer@rambleride.org
