Team Task Description
Route Team Route Test Rider Test ride the event routes to identify detours, road hazards, etc.
Route Team Route Preparation Deploy route marking - post markings, paint road markings.
Goodie-bag Team Goodie Bag Stuffing Work with other volunteers to fill the Goodie Bags with donated items. Generally takes 2 - 3 hours to fill the bags at Marty's Reliable Cycle - Randolph location, after regular store hours.
Food Team Food Pickup Work with the Food Team Leader to buy food/water, etc. the day before the event.
Registration Team Registration Work the registration tables. Sign in all riders against registration list. Provide Lunch bracelet and rider tee-shirt
Registration Team Host/Greeters Greet riders and answer all ride and event information questions.
Route Team Cue Sheet/Route Expert Hand out cue sheets and answer all rider route questions.
Registration Team Rider Name Tag Table Assist riders with completing and attaching rider identification cards to their bicycles.
Expo Team Club Table/Jersey Sales Provide information about the MAFW, hand out pre-ordered Ramble jerseys and take sales orders for additional jerseys.
Food Team Serve Breakfast Set up and work the breakfast area to distribute food, drinks and supplies.
Expo Team Bike Expo & Field House Solicits non-profit organizations to invite their participation in the Expo, manage space allocation of the Expo and work with the Bike Shop Liaisons, Sponsorship Team and the First Aid Squad Liaison Team to improve the Expo experience for riders and participating organizations. Work the Expo on event day.
Registration Team Check Lunch Bracelets/Pass out Goodie Bags Collect lunch bracelets from riders for admittance to cafeteria for lunch and hand out goodie bags.
Food Team Food Runners for Course Marshals/Rest Stops Deliver boxed lunches to volunteers at specific intersections and at Southard Park and Peapack Road rest stops.
Safety Team Start Control Assist Safety Team Leaders with organizing riders at the starting line for all distances.
Safety Team SAG Drew Stay at Drew and respond to all emergency calls for assistance. There will 2 people per vehicle. One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders. A bike rack is strongly recommended.
Safety Team SAG Far Hills Stay at Far Hills and respond to all emergency calls for assistance . There will 2 people per vehicle. One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders. A bike rack is strongly recommended.
Safety Team SAG 25 mile route - roaming Continuously drive the route responding to people in need of assistance. There will 2 people per vehicle. One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders. A bike rack is strongly recommended.
Safety Team SAG 35 mile route - roaming Continuously drive the route responding to people in need of assistance. There will 2 people per vehicle. One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders. A bike rack is strongly recommended.
Safety Team SAG 45 mile route - roaming Continuously drive the route responding to people in need of assistance. There will 2 people per vehicle. One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders. A bike rack is strongly recommended.
Safety Team SAG 65 mile route - roaming Continuously drive the route responding to people in need of assistance. There will 2 people per vehicle. One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders. A bike rack is strongly recommended.
Safety Team Sweep - 25 mile route Drive the route to ensure all riders are accounted for. One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders and route signs.
Safety Team Sweep - 35 mile route Drive the route to ensure all riders are accounted for. One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders and route signs. A bike rack is strongly recommended.
Safety Team Sweep - 65/45 mile route Drive 45 miles of the 65/45 mile route to ensure all riders are accounted for .One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders and route signs. A bike rack is strongly recommended.
Safety Team Sweep - 65 mile route - 20 mile loop only Drive the 20 mile loop of the 65 mile route to ensure all riders are accounted for. One person needs a van, SUV or truck to be able to pick up stranded riders and route signs. A bike rack is strongly recommended.
Safety Team Riding Marshal - 12 mile route Ride the 12 mile route and be available for assistance and encourage riders.
Safety Team Riding Marshal - 25 mile route Ride the 25 mile route and be available for assistance and encourage riders. 9:15 start times include posting at an intersection for direction.
Safety Team Riding Marshal - 35 mile route Ride the 35 mile route and be available for assistance and encourage riders. Three positions include posting at an intersection for direction.
Safety Team Riding Marshal - 45 mile route Ride the 45 mile route and be available for assistance and encourage riders. All but one position include posting at an intersection for direction. Two positions are also the final riding sweep.
Safety Team Riding Marshal - 65 mile route Ride the 65 mile route and be available for assistance and encourage riders. All but the 7:30 start time include posting at an intersection for direction. Two positions are also the final riding sweep.
Safety Team Course Marshal - Oak Tree Direct and encourage cyclists at busy Oak Tree intersection in Basking Ridge.
Safety Team Course Marshal - Southard Park Direct and encourage cyclists at busy Southard Park intersection in Basking Ridge.
Rest Stop Team Rest Stop Leader Work with Rest Stop Team to set up and oversee food/water supply and organize volunteers.
Rest Stop Team Rest Stop - Southard Park Distribute food, water, etc at the Southard Park rest stop. Break down rest stop when all riders have passed. Report directly to rest stop.
Rest Stop Team Rest Stop - Jockey Hollow Distribute food, water, etc at the Jockey Hollow rest stop. Break down rest stop when all riders have passed. Report directly to rest stop.
Rest Stop Team Rest Stop - Peapack Road Distribute food, water, etc at the Peapack Road rest stop. Break down rest stop when all riders have passed. Report directly to rest stop.
